天水所市虽然在行政区划上属于西北邻近地区，但由于其地理环境的特殊性——设于秦岭以南，座落在北热带雨林气候区，因此随处显露出一派南国风光，并且是闻名遐迩的药用植物荟萃之地。旅游者由此转回药用植物园的大小门意味着就转回了秦巴山区的药用植物王国。

习惯的药用植物园所设计，一般仅仅选择观赏性和畅游性，在受众族群的参与度和体验度存在不足以，在此次方案所设计中所，我们紧密结合产业园区运营管理主干道，设为加进了部分塑胶健身跑道周围，一方面可增加产业园区旅游者的参与度和行走锻炼体验，另一方面也增加了植物园的市政属性，服务邻近居民参与健身运动。
